It's all about the Lampshades!
Von's Craftery and Dolphin House Arts collaboration in making extraordinary lampshades!
Von's Craftery is delighted to be working on lampshades with the amazing Libby Kerrison, florist and owner of Dolphin House Arts in Stratford upon Avon - find out more about Libby here..
All personally selected, many upcycled or rescued, we hunt out fabrics that make amazing lampshades, including of course hand-printed creations.
Fifty Shades of Christmas!
We are delighted to be supporting fund-raising by St Laurence's Church, Bidford on Avon, with their annual Christmas Tree Festival
Sat 13th and Sun 14th December 2025
A little bit of fun with the title (nothing more honest!), our Christmas tree is celebrating our lampshade friendship with a gorgeous tree combining Libby's floristry skills, Von's block-printing prowess, and combined inspiration for lampshade design!
We are showcasing these beautiful, individual lampshades celebrating the fun, as well as satisfaction, of making something with friends..
All of these lampshades will be going on sale shortly, but are currently available to attendees of the festival at special discounted rates!
Small lampshades (20cm diameter) £25
Medium lampshade (30cm diameter) £35
Large lampshade (40cm diameter) £45
All of our lampshades are for sale, but we also take commissions
We find treasures of fabric - remnants, off-cuts, patterns that catch our eye, and then choose the size, inner/outer balance, ribbons or trimmings, or a personally designed block-printed fabric to complement.
Carefully constructing the lampshade, and ensuring a professional finish, every single lampshade is a unique and one-off work of love!
Please get in touch and Libby and I will be delighted to help!
Fancy a go? We run workshops to teach you how to make your own!
Lampshade making classes are available at Dolphin House Arts, and Block-printed lampshade making workshops are available at Dolphin House and Von's Craftery in Bidford.
Working with either Libby or I (or both if you're lucky!) we can spend a couple of hours making lampshades; either printing your own fabric with my extensive range of Indian blocks, or selecting from our wide range of fabric (or of course you can bring your own if you have something special in mind!) We will then show the tips and tricks of getting a professionally finished lampshade that definitely gives you bragging rights!
